Warrant

To the Treasurer of the Wilkinsonville Water District

Greetings

            In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Wilkinsonville Water District who are qualified to vote in the District affairs to meet on:

                        May 16, 2026 at 9:00 o’clock in the morning

                        in the Wilkinsonville Water District office,

                        13A Providence Road, Sutton, Massachusetts.

Then and there to act upon the following articles:

            ARTICLE 1    To elect the following officers:

                                    A Moderator for one (1) year

                                    A Treasurer for one (1) year

                                    1 Commissioner for three (3) years

                                    A Clerk for one (1) year

ARTICLE 2    To hear the reports of the District Officers and to act thereon.

ARTICLE 3    To see if the District will instruct the Commissioners to defend the District in suits of law, or to bring suits of law, and to authorize them to employ a District Council or act or do anything in relation thereon.

ARTICLE 4    To see if the District will fix the compensation of the District Officers for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026 or act thereon.

ARTICLE 5    To see if the District will authorize and empower the District Treasurer to borrow money in anticipation of revenue for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and to issue a note or notes thereon, payable within one (1) year and to renew any notes or note as may be given for a period of less than one (1) year in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44, Section 17.

ARTICLE 6    To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $1,089,025.00 for maintenance and operations, administrative expense, debt expense and capital expenses or take any action thereon.

ARTICLE 7   To see if the district will vote to transfer certified free cash to the system                       development account or act there on.    

ARTICLE 8 To see if the District will vote to authorize the Water District Officers to employ themselves in the performance of the Water District necessary to maintain the health standards set by the District, or act or do anything in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 9 To see if the District will vote to transfer a sum of money from the System Development Stabilization Fund, for Capital improvement for the district, or act or do anything in relation thereto.

And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attested copies thereto at two public locations, all in said Wilkinsonville, at least fourteen (14) days before the day and hour appointed for hold said meeting.

Hereof, Fail Not, and make return of this warrant with your doing thereon, to the Clerk of the Wilkinsonville Water District, on or before the day and hour appointed for the holding of said meeting.
